September 20, 2-4pm, Stout Starters: A Speed Friending Event

As part of the Talk to Strangers Series, SPEAK UP, University Library and Menomonie Public Library are teaming up to host Stout Starters September 20, 2-4pm, in the Memorial Student Center Ballrooms.

Everyone has a story to tell and we hope to incorporate many diverse voices. Modeled after speed networking, two strangers have seven minutes to converse using questions provided at each station. After seven minutes, it’s time to meet a new person.

People can spend 30 minutes or the whole two hours getting to know people from around campus and the surrounding community.
