Do you like to read and talk about great books? Join us for coffee, treats, and a book discussion of
Marcelo in the Real World by Francisco X. Stork on Wednesday, March 26th at
10:00 am.
This book tells the story of Marcelo, a 17-year-old with Asperger's Syndrome. He has always attended a special school, but the summer after his junior year, his father decides it is time for him to join "the real world," and gets him a job working in the mail room at his father's law firm. Throughout the summer, Marcelo learns a lot about himself, friendship, and human nature.
The #StoutReadsYA series is a
monthly book discussion open to all in the university community who are
interested in reading and young adult literature. Every month, a new book is read, followed by
a casual, hour-long book discussion. Contact the library to reserve a copy of
the book.
